• 3x Daily for 7 to 10 days- Wash, dry, apply ointment.

Leave bandage on for 1-4 hrs max., wet the backside to remove if it sticks. Do NOT rebandage the tattoo. There are very few occasions that make it necessary to cover it.

When washing use a gentle soap, and washcloth. Do not use concentrates like dish soap, highly fragranced soaps or any soaps with grit or pumice. Gently wash as soon as you remove your bandage. Rinse, then pat dry.

Ointment should be applied very minimally to the area. Rub it in just like lotion. (You're not icing a cake, you're replacing moisture to a wound so it doesn't crack and peel.) I recommended Vitamin A&D ointment, Aquaphor, Cerave Healing ointment, Tattoo Goo, or even just a simple fragrance free lotion. Do not use antibiotic ointments.

Blot away any plasma throughout the day. This clear fluid will get tacky and dry, creating an unwanted crust on your tattoo. Use a washcloth daily helps keep this from building up too.

The first 3-4 days are the most critical in the healing process. Making sure you do not introduce dirt and bacteria to it is very important to not get an infection. Please read the do’s and don'ts section to follow this up.

When washing use a gentle soap, either liquid or bar. Just stay away from concentrates like dish soap or highly fragranced soaps like bath and body works and any soaps with grit or pumice. Always use a wash cloth, and very gently exfoliate right from day 1. Rinse, then pat dry.

  • DO- treat your tattoo as a large surface wound. (i.e.. road rash or rug burn) Take into consideration all the contact it will receive from countertops, bedding, seats, pets, sweat, dirt and dust, household cleaners, etc. Always keep it in a clean environment, and wash immediately afterwards if not.

DON’T- apply antibiotic ointments, makeup, sunscreen, saran wrap or bandaging. Do not use peroxide, alcohol or concentrated soaps. Don’t pick at it! Do not soak in any kind of water, but especially ocean, river, and pond water. Do not expose your tattoo to periods of sun. It will burn a lot easier because it’s already compromised, please use adequate clothing to shade from the sun.

PLEASE- call or stop by if you have any irritation or concerns of any kind! I’m here to help, not pass blame or judgement.

  • Wash 2x daily front and back with Bactine, Piercing aftercare Solution, or mild soap and water.

Do not use topical ointments like Neosporin, Betadine, etc.

Do not remove earrings when cleaning.

After bathing be sure to rinse the piercing location thoroughly.

Leave studs in for a recommended 4-6 weeks before changing. And for the first 6 months do not take out jewelry for longer than 48 hrs. Some people can have their piercings close within a weeks time even if they’ve had it for a year or more.
